The San Francisco Unicorns, also called SF Unicorns is a professional T20 cricket county club, that represents the city of San Francisco in the state of California U.S.A in Major League Cricket. The San Francisco Bay Area has a vibrant cricket community and passionate cricket fans from diverse backgrounds. The team’s lead investors expressed their privilege in representing this region and emphasized the extraordinary opportunity for the SF Unicorns to represent fans of cricket, the world’s second-largest sport, in the Bay Area.
The team is featuring most of the domestic players and some players from Australia, South Africa and Pakistan. Two Pakistani international team players has recently joined San Francisco Unicorns for the inaugural season of Major League Cricket T20 starting from July 2023.
The Team is Coached by Shane Watson, captained by Aaron Finch. The team is owned by The Cambrian Ventures and Kosmix Group.
San Francisco Unicorns Stadium :
Although San Francisco won’t host home matches in 2023, there are plans to create a top-notch stadium and training facilities on a 14-acre site at the Santa Clara Fairgrounds in San José. The proposed stadium would have a seating capacity of 6-8,000 and be capable of hosting major international cricket events.
The complex will also include modern training facilities, locker rooms, luxury suites, dedicated parking, and a high-quality cricket pitch meeting international standards.
Meanwhile, there Major League Cricket T20 games will be played in grand Prairie Stadium, Grand Prairie, Texas, and Church Street park, Morrisville, North Carolina.
San Francisco Cricket Team Owner:
The San Francisco cricket club is owned by The Cambrian Ventures and Kosmix Group, a famous IT business company.
The Cambrian Ventures and Kosmix Group is owned by the famous entrepreneur Anand Rajaraman and Venky Harinarayan which are known for their contributions in Amazon in early 90’S.
San Francisco has partnered with Cricket Victoria, a leading cricket organization from Australia, to ensure the success of the Unicorns in the first season of MLC. Cricket Victoria representatives will assist in selecting a talented squad for the Unicorns at the MLC Player Draft.
SF Unicorns Coach:
San Francisco has remain their legacy and announces the coach name Shane Watson. Shane Watson, an Australian cricketer, was a top-ranked all-rounder in T20Is and played a crucial role in Australia’s successful era. He won multiple ICC tournaments and achieved success in the IPL before retiring in 2020.
SFU cricket team Captain:
Aron Finch from Australia, is going to lead the Unicorns in the inaugural season of Major League Cricket 2023, happening in United States for the first time.
Aaron Finch is a former Australian cricket captain who hold records for two of the top three T20 individual scores. He won the 2015 Cricket World Cup and led Australia to victory in the 2021 T20 World Cup. He debuted in Tests in 2018 and currently plays for San Francisco in Major League Cricket.

SF Unicorns’ Logo And Identity :
The team’s name and logo were recently revealed, with colors representing the Golden Gate Bridge, San Francisco Bay, and the Pacific Ocean.
Major League Cricket San Francisco is identified by its navy blue, light blue, and orange colored unicorn logo. The team will be identified by navy blue, light blue and orange color in the Major League Cricket 2023.
San Francisco Unicorns’ Jersey:
